DVT Deep Vein Thrombosis - This condition is more commonly know as blood clots of the lungs or legs. It can occur for a variety of reasons and may or may not exhibit symptoms. If a Deep Vein Thrombosis breaks off and travels to the lungs it is called a pulmonary embolism and this can be fatal. DVT is treated with a variety of anticoagulant medications and CARE Clinical Research is currently conducting trials in this area.
